Finnieston has a fantastic array of restaurants, bars and shops and was named ‘The Hippest place in the UK 2016’ by The Times. This was a perfect opportunity to set up The Finnieston Trail. An evening tour of The Glasgow Food and Drink Tour, it allows people to try great Scottish food in Glasgow.
Starting off at Mister Singh’s is where we try Haggis Pakora. Yes it’s on the outskirts of Finnieston but they are known for their ‘World Famous Haggis Pakora’. Portraying a Scottish/Indian fusion, this tasty Indian street food with a Scottish twist, is a fabulous way to start the tour.
Moving on to The Butchershop Bar and Grill. One of the best steaks I have ever tried. They use Scottish Beef from the Boarders and it is cooked to perfection. Accompanied by sides and a drink of your choice, it allows guests to indulge in the main course element of our tour.
Next on to The Sisters. A fantastic example of Scottish produce and where we try Scottish Cheese. From Blue Murder to Arran Brie – it’s not just cheddar in Scotland, however the Isle of Mull Cheddar is pretty darn good.
On to our final stop – The Park Bar. A traditional Scottish Bar and stomping ground of the Islanders and Highlanders visiting or now staying in Glasgow. Here, you have the choice of trying Scottish Island Gin or Whisky with ceilidh music in the background. The perfect way to end the evening.
Come join us on a tour – What’s not to love? Food, Drink and Banter – aye why not!
